Every table starts as a specific board from a specific tree — white oak, black walnut, reclaimed pine. We work with the grain we're given: knots, mineral streaks, the odd hairline check. Nothing is stained to hide what the wood already is.
Rustic wood tables · Handcrafted living
Rustica is a small workshop building solid-wood tables one at a time. We're not open yet — the first pieces are still on the bench. This is where you can watch them arrive.

Mortise and tenon, drawbored and pegged. Breadboard ends that let a top move with the season. Hand-planed surfaces finished with hardwax oil you can repair yourself, in place, years from now.
The bench is set up, the first slabs are drying, and the opening pieces are underway. When we open, the list gets first look and first claim on the earliest tables.
What we make
No catalogue yet — but the shapes are set. Here's what will be coming off the bench first.
See the collectionSeats four to twelve, in oak, walnut or reclaimed fir.
Low, heavy, live-edge or clean-edged — built to be leaned on.
Narrow pieces for hallways and behind sofas, with an optional lower shelf.
Drawn to your room, your dimensions, your wood.
The bench
We'll photograph the workshop properly once the first commissions are finished — natural light, real sawdust, no styling. Until then, the words will have to carry it.
How a table gets madeEarly access
One email when we open, and nothing else. The list gets first look at the opening pieces before anyone else sees them.
